The Naked Gun

I first watched the original Naked Gun when I was around eleven years old. One of the only things I remember was laughing uncontrollably. In the back of my head I always hoped they would make a modern sequel. Well a decade and a half later here we are, and I must say I was laughing uncontrollably yet again. I believe that this should ultimately be the goal with comedies moving forward. Focus less on the script, and opt for more situational comedy. Such as the myriad of coffee cups Frank goes through or the simple play-on-words, "May I speak freely? - No I'd prefer if you'd speak English." There's often a discourse around whether or not comedy is dying. To me, this is rubbish. Just make more spoof movies!
