The Fantastic Four: First Steps
Man I really wished this review could've just been "4 Stars, it's fantastic." Sadly it just wasn't the case. Don't get me wrong, this film is definitely one of the better project's Marvel has put out post COVID however it feels like its missing something, that "Zip" The Thing refers to. To me the film felt a bit rushed, whenever something new is introduced to the plot it causes the main cast to frenzy over numerous tasks. This left me feeling a bit disoriented. I also feel that while each of the four are well developed, they didn't shine too much as a team. Ultimately, my opinion is this; The Fantastic Four: First Steps is the right step forward for Marvel, however any further iterations of the group should focus more on the team building (which is both exciting and worrisome given they'll be sharing the screen with 60+ other heroes in Avengers: Doomsday)
